My training as a Doctor at an Army hospital gave me a perspective. I learnt about the fragility of life and also about the role that healthcare can play in helping us live a fuller life. I learned how to not lose hope, identify my deeper drivers and find solace from events where no hope existed previously. I found joy where I thought there was no joy to be found. I think it strengthened me as a professional, as a daughter, a wife, a mother and a buddy. It really helped me explore my mind for options to stay happy and healthy. It taught me to go beyond what I previously thought were my limit and helped me make myself a fuller human being. Being a practicing doctor also enabled me in helping thousands of my patients realize their potential and gain happiness through simple techniques and lifestyle modifications. This effort is an attempt to extend my experience and knowledge about mental health, mindfulness and fitness – to make your life healthier, happier and fulsome.

SANYAM (Stress Anxiety Negativity Yearning & Anger Management) through Mindfulness and Wellness Coaching. SANYAM – which basically means “Self-Control” in Sanskrit, is what keeps us sane. Today we launch a new initiative (Project SANYAM), aimed at reducing mental stress and anxiety in the new-age working-class millennials and pre-millennials living in high-pressure work and domestic ecosystems that provide very little margins for error. We provide a safe-space and coaching to get your friends and peers in need to vent out and learn from high-impact mindfulness exercises, techniques and psychotherapies – and thereby avoid an advanced mental illnesses at workplaces. In case we do come across friends and peers who need professional counselling and therapy, we also have a network of psychiatrists, psychologists and mind therapists. We strongly believe that good mental health needs early detection and appropriate management of issues that are mostly hidden and often neglected, until it is too advanced to be managed medicines and advanced therapy. Emotional disorders commonly emerge during adolescence. In addition to depression or anxiety, adolescents with emotional disorders can also experience excessive irritability, frustration or anger.
